Mel's First time....blog

My name is Melanie and I am a student at a local community college here in Houston. I am striving to be a great journalist one day, and am going to start here, right now with my one little voice. I will speak my mind for those who want to hear. I want to say what nobody else will say, and to speak for those who can't or are too afraid to. I want to help people in any way I can. Hopefully my words will sink into your hearts or maybe bore you to sleep. Who knows, but right here is where I will start :)
